Alex J. Fajardo is an Associate in Stark & Stark’s Nursing Malpractice Litigation Group.  Alex concentrates his practice on medical malpractice claims, nursing home malpractice, and litigation with emphasis on wrongful death, catastrophic injury, negligence, and abuse claims arising in nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, psychiatric facilities, hospitals, boarding, and group homes.  He has secured numerous litigation victories for his clients in New Jersey trial and appellate courts.  Alex is a member of Stark & Stark’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Alex worked for a personal injury firm in the Princeton area, where he concentrated his practice on nursing home malpractice and personal injury.

Alex received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Florida International University in the majors of Philosophy and Religious Studies.  Alex’s outstanding academic undergraduate performance and personal accomplishments earned him a full-tuition scholarship to Delaware Law School – Widener University, from where he received his Juris Doctorate.  While attending law school as a full-time student, Alex also worked as a law clerk at the Law Offices of Doroshow Pasquale Krawitz & Bhaya.  He completed Delaware Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program and earned the Judge Haile L. Alford Excellence Award, given by the Delaware State Bar Association.  Alex was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and received the organization’s Outstanding Trial Advocate Award.  Alex received the Certificate of Achievement in Tort Law.  He also served on the Executive Board of the Latin American Law Student Association.

Alex gives back to the community by serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors of The Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, in Camden.  He has provided pro-bono consultations to clients of the Hispanic Family Center on a range of issues, including landlord-tenant and contract disputes and participates in “Know Your Rights” community outreach events hosted by the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ).  Alex also serves as the HBA-NJ’s designee to the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Diversity Inclusion and Community Engagement.  Alex also served on the Board of Directors at Las América ASPIRA Academy Charter School, a Spanish-English dual immersion K-8 from 2012 through 2018.      

Alex was born in Havana, Cuba.  His family immigrated to New Jersey during the Mariel Boatlift.  His immigrant experience fuels his dedication to serving clients of all walks of life and his appreciation for a legal system that operates on principles of justice and rule of law.
