Jessica Ramirez is as a trial attorney specializing in cases involving injury, medical malpractice,  and sexual abuse.  She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to New Jersey when she was eight years old.   Jessica earned her J.D. from the Seton Hall School of Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stockton University.  She has served on the NJ Ethics Committee, and served as an Eminent Domain Commissioner for the State of NJ where she presided over cases dealing with condemnation and eminent domain. Jessica has appeared on national networks, such as Fox News, The Oxygen Network, HNL, Law & Crime Network, and Univision to discuss various legal topics.

From immigration matters and family law to criminal and municipal cases, Jessica brings a wealth of experience to her practice at D’Arcy Johnson Day. Jessica’s immigration law background includes experience as the Managing Attorney for Catholic Charities of Newark-Immigration Assistance, as well as work as an independent contractor in the nation’s capital, where she concentrated on immigration matters and corporation investigations and audits involving privilege reviews.  Jessica also operated her own law practice in Atlantic City, where she focused on Criminal Law, New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency Litigation, while serving as Conflicts Public Defender for the City of Atlantic City.  Jessica is a passionate advocate for clients who have suffered sexual harassment and sexual assault. She has extensive settlement and trial experience in this area and knows exactly what it takes to deliver results.

Fluent in Spanish as well as English, Jessica is a member of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ), where she was selected as one of only eighteen attorneys nationwide to participate in the AAJ Leadership Academy. She is also a member the New Jersey Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association, and the New Jersey American Association for Justice.
