Danielle C. Karczewski (pronounced Car-tchef-ski) is Associate Senior Counsel at Eisai Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Eisai Co. Ltd., a multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. At Eisai, Danielle focuses her practice on a broad range of issues, including employment, privacy, research & development, Latin America, and internal investigations. In addition to her responsibilities at Eisai, Danielle serves as co-chair of the Pro Bono Committee, which founded an annual wills clinic for cancer patients in New Jersey.

Prior to joining Eisai, Danielle was an associate at Lowenstein Sandler P.C., where she focused on employment and business litigation and was one of the first recipients of the firm’s Fellowship Scholarship designed to foster diversity in the legal profession. She also served as Associate Editor for the firm’s website, DiversityisNatural.com.

Danielle received her B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies from Rutgers University in 2004, where she served as Copy Editor and later Managing Editor of The Daily Targum newspaper, which had a circulation of 18,000 daily at that time. In 2007, Danielle received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, Secretary of the Association of Latin American Law Students, Chair of the Minority Student Program (MSP) Mentorship Program, and a member of the Association of Black Law Students.

Danielle is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey and has served the HBA in various capacities over the years, including as former Trustee for Essex County, a former member of the HBA Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee, a former member of the Young Lawyers Committee, and a mentor in both the  Mentorship and American Dream Pipeline Programs.  Danielle is also a  member of the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Danielle resides in Morris County with her husband, Adam.
