Supervising Attorney – Immigration
Removal and Detention Defense
Legal Services of New Jersey, the statewide coordinating agency for New Jersey’s network of non-profit corporations that provide free civil legal assistance to low income residents, has an immediate opening for an additional supervising attorney to provide supervision on immigration detention cases. The supervising attorney will be responsible for mentoring and supporting our team of attorneys and paralegals on removal and detention cases before EOIR, the BIA, and federal district court. LSNJ is based in Edison, and the positions will require travel to ICE detention facilities and immigration courts in Newark and Elizabeth. The strongest candidates will have several years of experience in removal and detention defense and related federal practice, and supervising other attorneys. Fluency in Spanish will be a highly valued additional capacity.
