The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (“HBA-NJ”) will hold its General Membership and Nominations Meeting on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Prudential located at 751 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.  Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Please click here to RSVP by September 11, 2017.  Registration is free and open to all current and active members.

In addition to discussing items of interest to the HBA-NJ, we will be accepting nominations for the following positions for the 2017-2018 Term:

• Northern Regional Vice President
• Southern Regional Vice President
• Membership Secretary
• Recording Secretary
• Treasurer
• Region 5 Trustee (Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties)
• Region 8 Trustee (Somerset and Hunterdon Counties)
• Region 9 Trustee (Middlesex County)
• Region 12 Trustee (Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties)
• Region 13 Trustee (Atlantic and Cape May Counties)
• Trustee-At Large
• Trustee-At-Large (Young Lawyers Division)
• Trustee-At-Large (Former Board Member that last served on the Board 5 or more years ago)

In order to participate in the nomination process, you must be a paid member in good standing before the meeting is called to Order. Nominations may be accepted only by persons in attendance at the meeting, unless a waiver from the President is obtained at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting, in which case you must be available by phone to accept the nomination.  In order to vote in the election, you must be a paid Full Attorney Member in good standing as of September 30, 2017.  If you are not a paid member and would like to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election, please visit www.njhba.org.
